Individual therapy provides one on one treatment for a client who may be experiencing difficulties in life, dealing the effects from a mental health condition such as depression or anxiety, or areas in specific need of attention. A client can expect an initial comprehensive evaluation which would include current situation, basic family history, medical history, and other important factors. Individual conditions vary, so the number of sessions may vary from client to client. Counseling is not a "one-stop, fix-it" shop, but a plan of action to prepare a person to attain a place of change, peace or closure.
